Title: More Desert Heat!

I'm all the way out here at Gila Bend, sitting in the air conditioned darkness
of the Owl Buffet; Gila Bend(!), and a suit walks in, sees me, introduces
himself as agent Koval and informs me that he is investigating the bombing
of the Center, Leonard Yates' death, and the attempt on my life.
"You can consider this as a sort of interpellation, since you are, in effect,
an agent of the government working at the Center."
*in.ter.pel.late vt -lat.ed ; -lat.ing [L interpellatus, pp. of interpellare
to interrupt, fr. inter- + -pellare (fr. pellere to drive)--more at felt]
(1874): to question (as a foreign minister) formally concerning an official
action or policy or personal conduct -- in.ter.pel.la.tion n --
in.ter.pel.la.tor n.

"An agent? How can I be considered an agent?"
"You worked on the files Yates tried to steal from the government, right?"
I nod my head and take a sip of beer.
"You hid them and .. lost them, right?"
I nod my head, another sip, and say, "Can I buy you lunch? How about a nice
spicey omelett?"
"4 years ago you were solely responsible for the security systems at March,
Los Alamos, and LLNL, right?"
I nod my head, another sip -- no, I finish it and proclaim to Ray, "Hey
partner, hows about a Jake's special omelett for my friend Koval here, and
bring me another of these, please?" I raise my beer mug confidently.

"I'm sure you can sense the gravitas of the situation," he says quietly.
*grav.i.tas n [L] (1924): high seriousness (as in a person's
bearing or in the treatment of a subject).

"A mui gravitas situation!" I say bravely. 5th beer kickin in.
"Are the files still in the computer at the Center?"
Enter Ray, with food and drink.
"Oh, thanks. Hmmm, this smells great," Koval swoons, as Ray places a 3-egg,
golden light tan/brown colored, garlic-aromatic fragrant Jake's special under
his nose.Small traces of red and green flecks add highlights to the masterpiece.

"Wannsum hot sauce for that/there Desert Heat?" Ray asks innocently.
"Please, and another beer for...both of us?" (Please) (-8>>
"Comin' up.."

I raise my mug, "Dig in, I've already eaten the main course and this is
gonna be my dessert!"

4th day o the week and how they fly
once they're OVER!
later,
