Title: Sis, arms, legs

"How many of them were there?"
"About 8, maybe nine."
"So it was the 8 or 9 of them against you, Sis, Jake and Oscar, right?"
"Yeah, there were 8 because I remember thinking there were 2 apiece."
"Who started it? did Jake start it by saying something dumb as usual?"
"No, I guess I did. In fact remember pretty well what happened. What
I don't remember is afterward."
"I can't imagine why anyone would want to mess with 2-1 odds. You've
never started something with anyone, have you?"
"No. I laughed."
"Laughed? At what?"
"I couldn't help it. When I say his Big Wet Spot I almost collapsed.
I think Sis and Oscar must have thought I was having some sort of fit
or something. Anyway one of them said something about some sort of
spot or... no, no, I remember. He asked me what it was I said about
a pet shop, like maybe he took offense at it or something."
"What happened? Did you try to apologize or talk your way out of it?"
"No, all I wanted to do at that moment was to run - but I was so weak
from laughing... He thought I was being derisive."
"So, then what?"
"He started toward me saying 'petshop? petshop? We don't know
about any petshop!' And I, like an idiot, corrected him and
told him that I was laughing at his friend's Big Wet Spot. He
seemed to back off but his Wet Spot friend stepped up and told
us we must think we are such big important people that we could
just laugh at them like that."

"What did you do?"
"I ran. Oscar, Jake and Sis ran with me."
"But they caught you, right?"
"They caught Oscar so we all stopped and decided to deal with them
one way or another."
"You were lucky the cops came along."
"I'm not sure they were needed. Oscar was being held by two of them
and the other 6 were coming toward us. Sis yelled at them to let
him go but they paid no heed. She ran through and around the 6
and landed on the two holding Oscar."
"Landed on 'em?"
"Yes, landed. She jumped up and grabbed one by the neck with
her legs and the other in her arms into a headlock. They were so
surprised and probably hurt that Oscar simply backed away, brushing
his dinner jacket off. It was funny to see how indignant he
looked."
"So, what then?"
"The other 6 ran, but before running the Big Wet Friend hit me in
the neck or head or both with something very hard and heavy.
At that point until right now I don't remember much."
"You mean you don't remember how you got here?"
"I'm not sure, right now, if we have been speaking. What
was it you wanted to know?"
"How many of them were there?"
"About 8, maybe nine."

'twas such a LOVELY Sunday.
Here's to a Monday with as much loveliness.
