Title: Sis' truth

"When I first realized that I could actually move or affect physical objects
without touching them, I sort of attributed it to a lucky guess on my part.
I'd see something happen, push myself or my consciousness toward the event
and be surprised that I was able to fortell the outcome."

Claire shakes her head, smiles, sits back, incredulous,
"You can actually move THINGS?"
She pushes her beer mug forward with deliberate slowness,
"Moooove thiiiisssssssss then..."

The beer mug moves ahead of Claire's hand and stops.
Claire quickly grasps the handle and cannot pick it up. She exclaims,
"SHIT! LET GO! How the fuck did you do that? JESUS!!"

The beer mug comes loose, Claire lifts it, looks through it at Sis.
The beer mug leaves Claire's hand and sits itself back on the table.
Claire's hand is suspended, slightly shaking, pale as usual.

"Sorry if it bothers you so much. After I do it a couple more times you'll
get used to it. At first, Joey would get sick, but after one or two more
'tricks' he sort of built up a tolerance to the effects. You become
mithridatized after awhile, tolerant to the side effects, I guess."

"How do you do it? Is it hypnosis? Did I see the mug float outta my hand 'n
land on th' table? Did I SEE it or dream it? Shit, I don't know!!"
Claire puts her head in both her hands, elbows on the table, face down, over
her beer.

"I think I move the objects. I'm not sure what happens to you. Sorry if you
aren't feeling well. You OK?"
