"That was one HELL of a ride!  Why didn't we take off later and ride at night,
for christs' sake?"  B.J. asks as he removes his conquistador-looking helmet
and settles onto one the 9 barstools lined at the bar of Owl Buffet.  B.J.
looks more like he's just dismounted his steed and removed his riding
armor,
a Don Quixote look-alike.

"Ya gotta admit it was an Olympian effort for all you city folk ta do a run at
high noon on the desert in the middle of July!  Some people out here would say
you were nuts, but I gotta say it took real guts and athleticism ta do it!"
Ray retorts.

Sis mumbles, "Athletic ABILITY, dammit!" and she pushes on Ray's brain.

"Athletic ABILITY, I mean!  Damnit, I hate that stupid word 'athleticism'!" Ray
says sincerely, without hesitation, and unaware of Sis' tampering.

"Aw shaddup Ray.  Just bring the damn beer.  C'mon, we can do without all this
Delpic, meaningless linguistic twaddle."  B.J. quips.  It is suddenly very
quiet at the Owl as Ray brings on the golden ale.
