Title: Back in the U.S.A.!

Rob and PeckFace, after abandoning the Chevy Truck, have walked several miles
through sagebrush, across washes, and under barbed wire fences. Rob is limping
because the ankle chain has rubbed a nasty sore on his leg. PeckFace walks
ahead of him, careful not to get too far ahead.

"How much further 'til we get across?" Rob asks.

"We ARE across. Over there, where you see the lights, is where we're headed.
Someone I know lives there and he'll help us out."

Rob stops, looks around and exclaims "We're in Miller Valley, aren't we? This
is Vern's! Sidecar Vern, the big Falstaffian dude! I thought I recognized
this area."

"Whatever. All I know is he won't turn us in. I just hope there isn't some
Mexican Nimrod bounty hunter after us. They get real pissed when someone kills
one of their Federales."

*Fal-staff-i-an adj. Characterized by joviality and conviviality.[After John
Falstaff, a character in Henry IV and Merry Wives of Windsor by
William Shakespeare (1564-1616)].

*Nim-rod n. 1. A mighty hunter and king and Noah's great-grandson in the Old
Testament. 2. Also nimrod. A hunter.[Heb. Nimrodh].
