Title: Pheasant Bouquet

Jake, in the kitchen at Bikers, was preparing for the
special of the day. He wished Joey was around to help
him eviscerate this bouquet of pheasants.

"Fresh pheasants! I hope all these damn crazys appreciate
what I have to go through for 'em..." Jake said to no one
in particular. He was escecially concerned about how the
drain was starting to back up and was trying, in vain, to
keep the pheasant feathers from floating into the drain.

When he heard Claire yelling at Vern he hurried
out front to make sure she wouldn't put herself into
another predicament. He still had pheasant feathers
and evidence of viscera on his arms and hands.

"Claire, don't you go anywhere, especially with Vern
for god's sake! For now you need rest and some sort
of medical care!"

She seemed surprised at Jake's concern and
the fuss he was making over her. As she sat back down
she seemed to deflate a bit, and as Jake pushed
himself between Vern and her to straighten her
jacket and move a lock of hair from her eyes,
she appeared to slump.
"Oh, Jake, you always seem to care for me, don't ya?"

But just as quickly as he had pacified her, she saw
Jakes arms and hands, "Great Ceasar's Jesus!
What the hell is that stuff all over you, Jake?
Feathers?"

As Claire was yelling at him, Jake could hear the
water overflowing in the kitchen. Pheasant feathers
were stopping up the Biker drains.

Happy Monday to all!
