Title: Doris' invitation
"You said Harley had been 'borrowed'? I thought
only you and Sis rode Harley, no one else. I'm
feeling sort of put out by that, you know."
Doris and I are having lunch at the shrimp taco place
near the Center. She's wearing her uniform, pockets
buttoned gunless clubless nametagged 'Doris'. Why
can't I remember her? I enjoy being with her...
"Joey took it. No one has seen nor has anyone heard
from him. Hide nor hair although I have to admit I'd
like a handful of his puckish hair right now."
"Can you get away from the Center for a couple
days? Maybe we could look for your Joey and at the
same time do a run. La Punta, or somethng like that?
We can take my Ariel. It's old but I've kept it going."
"Yeah. Sounds good, but won't people ... talk. Are
you free to ... ?"
la.bile \'la_--.bi_-l, -b*l\ adj
1: ADAPTABLE
She's looking at me straight on with her infinitely deep
green eyes, smiling, and says, "Can we leave this
afternoon? You wouldn't mind riding would you, since
that explosion seems to have caused some great
amounts of memory loss? Especially where I'm involved."
la.bile \'la_--.bi_-l, -b*l\ adj
2: UNSTABLE
"Ok, let's go. We'll discuss how much I've forgotten
on the way down. Hopefully the cephalic blow I received
won't be permanent, with some reminding..."
ce.phal.ic \s*-'fal-ik\ adj
1: of or relating to the head
2: directed toward or situated on or in or near the head
Friday is the day before the day
we've been waiting for all week...or is it?
Maybe the week was great too??
Happy days
anyways!!
