Title: Interegnum dryspell dreams

comically desperate, half-whining, not yet begging,
"Hey Boss, c'mon man, I know it's dry but geeez-us."
I want to reach out, cannot, will not,
"I've all but quit so I don't know where to find anything for you."
resignation unknown, driven, needful, cookbook syndrome time,
"...I got some goooodshit a while back that kicked ass one toke's all I
was only doin' a joint a day an now there ain't nothin round not even a
bud er a j and noshit those dreams again, man, or they're different
an i remember em when i'm not smokin like last night i wokeup sweatin
from some ugly fucking dream like horrors an shit they're like
hardass fucking dreams about people i know an that's why i came in here
ta see you heh heh because last night you were in my 3rd dream ..."
I've seen his dream as he speaks, cannot bear to relive it, hear it again,
        "Well, I don't...."
unrestrained enthusiasm vision air-drawing,
"...you was in this caravan, on a caravan, on yer pet Hog, the yella
        one..."
he exalts me to a caravan on a caravan on a yellow Hog in his dream,
"Ok ok ok. Look, I'll ask around and let you know of anyone you
        should see, ok?"
dejection, dissapointing terms, no choices here, no chances at all,
        "Yeah, ok Boss."
he pauses, onemore thing to ask, the dreams the dreams,
"Boss, you know what I'm talkin about, the dreams? You know of anyone
else who had dreamtroubles durin dry spells?"
have I had dreamtroubles? bothways. my dreams are lost memories, high OR dry.

There couldn't be a society of people who didn't dream.
They'd be dead in two weeks.
