Title: Grey rage
The Lazy Lizard is dark and it's only 4 a.m.. This
place is known for its all night breakfast menu of
the hottest machaca burritos ever produced,
anywhere, with eggplant and crisp fried potatoes.
Dark, quiet breezes nearly whistle through dusty
tumbleweeds which are caught on the steps.
Bars on the windows, boarded up entrance, broken
glass overturned bar and shredded draperies
shattered splintered smashed bandstand.
rap.ine \'rap-*n\ n : PILLAGE, PLUNDER.
There's a Computer-produced sign stapled to
the pine boards across the front door:
"Closed down.
Folks over 75 revolt.
Stamp out noise.
Stop the siege of unmuffled cars and motorcycles!
Bikers beware. Keep out. Keep going.
The rapine was a result of geriatric rage and violence.
(This card is wild. Next location: GILA BEND,
OWL BUFFET. Take card below for proof). "
The parenthetical addition is neatly printed
with a black marker. A deck of cards with jokers-only
is stuck between beer bottles on the wood porch
.
4 hours to Owl Buffet. Arrival time: 8am.
Happy days.
Happy Thursday,
luv,
d.
