Title: oh, love
Claire and Jake stood, it seemed to them an eternity,
looking into each other's eyes. Claire holds the poem
close to her and Jake takes Claire's other hand and gently
kisses her palm.
Tod, from the other end of the bar, "Hey, Claire. What
about a beer, can I buy you one?" And added, with a
sarcastic and grating tone, "That is if bar-keep can spare a moment."

Jake, quietly and aside to Claire, "Lookout for that one. He doesn't
look too .. healthy. He's a bad one, that one."
Claire smiles, tucks the poem back into her pocket and says,
"Tod is a predator. His prey are old men, young boys,
any women and probably some animals. He's not particular,
but I don't think he's dangerous. Anyway, if he fucks with me --
or YOU -- I'll blow his stringy greasy blonde hair off his slimey head."
Claire turns away, steps toward Tod and answers, "You buy?
I'll be right there!"
As Claire moves toward Tod, Jake looks after her and sees
a nimbus about her whole being. Claire glances back and
smiles to Jake.

Friday. Friday again. How many can there be? How many have
there been? Enough? No, never enough!
