As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm now back in Tucson, and I must say that it's great to be home. Portland's a fine city. It just wasn't home. I'm absolutely thrilled to be near family and old friends once more.

I'm honored to volunteer with the steelband programs at Canyon View Elementary School. Those kids are a blast. Quite frankly, they've shocked me at what they've been able to pull off. Granted, much of that credit is due to their music teacher, but the kids really do work hard and it shows.

I've managed to start one student on private lessons. It's a long cry from the percussion studio I'm hoping to build, but it's a beginning. I'm hoping to pick up some more over the next few months.
