| I am a graduate of The University of Arizona with a BFA in Percussion Performance, which was follwed by working toward an MM in Percussion Performance as a GTA at Portland State University. I'm currently taking a break from school to work and teach in order to pay the bills. (After all, what good's a Master's degree if you're living on the streets?) Getting to some more specifics, I'm a pannist, having spent several years performing with UA Steel, and was a member of the Portland, OR based Pan Gypsies during my graduate work. I am now managing and performing with Apocalypso and volunteering with the Canyon View School Steel Bands here in Tucson. All of these ensembles have allowed me to hone my skills both as a player and an arranger. I used spend a fair amount of time freelancing as both a music notation grunt and Mac computer tech, but for some reason I seem to find myself surrounded by more PCs than Macs these days. Hmph. I have a dear friend who is, I think, quite the poet, though he doesn't seem to be writing much of late. Of course, there's loads of other stuff I could list, but I don't particularly feel like it at the moment. There's a bit more under "stuff", and you can always email me if there's something you're just dying to know. |
