Brethren of Norfolk Lodge #1,

Now is the time to act. The lodge has numerous candidates working in the various degrees quickly moving down their Masonic paths.   I challenge all brethren to come out, participate, involve yourself and aid brothers in need of Masonic knowledge and experience. It is very easy for all of us to reflect on our Masonic journeys. However, our newly elected members are just beginning their journeys. They need experienced past masters and members to learn from. We meet every Thursday at the temple at 7:00.

Norfolk Lodge #1 has a double Master Masons raising taking place on the 3rd of October at 4:00 PM. The soon to Master Masons have Masonic family members coming into town to watch. I know that all members of this lodge want to make their day truly Masonic. Please schedule your calendars and let’s all attend and make it a great raising. Please contact Worshipful Chuck Turner; he is currently developing the degree team as you are reading this. His contact information is found on the reverse.

Finally brethren, Norfolk Lodge #1 had a very interesting and informative discussion that took place at the September Stated Communication regarding the Scholarship Fund.   Many of the brethren spoke, some left satisfied, others left dissatisfied. None the less, changes are occurring in the lodge in order for new growth and possibilities to present themselves for the future survivability of the lodge.   Come out, express your opinions, take part in the discussions and be again a voice and presence in YOUR lodge.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the October Stated Communication.

Fraternally,

Michael Bowling

Worshipful Master

Brethren,

I have five steps in Restoring Our Lodge:

1.  Focus on what were have in common, our Masonic obligations.

2.  Be realistic in your expectations.

3.  Choose to encourage rather than to criticize.

4.  Practice Masonic Brotherhood for conflict resolution

5.  Support your lodge by attendance.
