NORFOLK LODGE NO. 1  A.F.& A.M.

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA

 

 

 ARTICLE I

The Stated Communication of Norfolk Lodge No.1, A.F. & A.M. shall be held at the Masonic Temple, 7001 Granby Street, Norfolk, Virginia on the evening of the first Thursday in each month at seven-thirty o'clock P.M., except the Annual Stated Communication which shall be held on the first Thursday in December at five o'clock  P.M.

 

 ARTICLE II

Every member of this Lodge, except the Treasurer, Secretary and Tyler shall be charged by the Secretary with the sum of Forty-five Dollars ($45.00) per year dues, plus Grand Lodge assessments and Temple Corporation assessments, effective January 1, 1993.

 

 ARTICLE III

The fees for degrees in this lodge shall be Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) payable as follows:  One hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($125.00) for the Degree of Entered Apprentice of which amount Seventy-five ($75.00) shall accompany the petition; Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for the Degree of Fellowcraft; and Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for the Degree of Master Mason.

 

 ARTICLE IV

The Treasurer shall receive an annual compensation of One Hundred ninety-two Dollars ($192.00), payable in six (6) installments.

 

 ARTICLE V

The Secretary shall receive an annual compensation of One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1800.00) payable in six installments.

 

 ARTICLE VI

The Tyler, or Acting Tyler, shall receive an annual compensation of Two Hundred Forty Dollars ($240.00) payable in six installments.

 

 ARTICLE VII

The three (3) Trustees, who shall be recommended by the Lodge and appointed by the Court having jurisdiction, shall at each Annual Stated Communication in December make a report of the investment of all funds and condition of property entrusted to their care.

 

 ARTICLE VIII

Any amendment proposed to these by-laws must be submitted in writing at a Stated Communication, lie over one (1) month, the membership notified and shall require a two-thirds (2/3) affirmation vote of members present for its adoption.

 

 

 Effective Date - January 1, 1996
