The top left picture is from a scenic over look on the Pali highway. We are overlooking the town of Kailua. Toward the top of the photo where the town meets the ocean is where Dave's place is. His apartment is about 3 blocks from the beach. We took several trips down there just sit on the beach and swim in the pacific ocean. During one of our swims 3 eagle rays cam in to the bay to check us out. Dave took a swim out to them and the rays decided to move on. As they could swim faster than Dave the rays quickly disappeared back into the ocean.
The top right picture is sunset on the north shore. On Wednesday Dave and I went on a drive about 1 hour north to ______ to see the sun set over the ocean. Dave's ocean is on the east coast and on his beach the sun sets over the mountains behind us. On the north and west shore we went to see a classic hawaiian sunset. We were very very close when the sun went down with out waiting for our feet to touch the sand. Five minutes before we arrived at the beach I snapped this picture of the sun set from our moving jeep.
Middle left is the infamous Waikiki beach. This is the place to be and some people even swim here. I am told that in the right season and time of day this is where all the bathing suit photo models gather to drink Mai Tais and sun bathe. I guess I was not here at the right time of day. Visions of hundreds of oriental tourists were on the beach. Some of them were good looking but most of them were trying to remember when to take their geritol. I took this picture standing on a small pier that was sticking out into the water.
The Middle right picture is for my room mate Daniel. He told me when I got to Hawaii I had to get a drink of Hawaiian Punch. Daniel told me that he learned on TV that you should drink Hawaiian punch in Hawaii because it is fresher there. So I did. This picture was taken on the Big Island of Hawaii when Dave and I toured there.
Lower left is my first hours in Hawaii and Dave and I toured the south shore of the island. This picture is along the cliffs at Hanauma Bay around Koko Head Park.
Lower right is me again with the Mauna Loa Nut guy. As we were touring
the big island we drove past the macadamia nut place on our way to see the
lava. On our way back I had to stop at the nut factory. I bought
5 pounds of nuts.
