Well my first car was a '70 Mach I. My dad picked this up for me at an auction when I was 15. I think he picked her up for about 3 grand. If only I knew then. I thought it was awesome, but I really wish I had that thing now. It did not last long. I could probably count on one hand the number of times I actually got to drive it. Every time she left the driveway something else would break. Well my dad did not have time to work on it and I had no clue what I was doing so we sold her and moved on to another vehicle. Ever since then I have wanted another mustang and I finally got one 17 years later. So this page is dedicated to my 1966 Mustang coupe. In case you haven't figured it out yet. The License plate on my car says laughing gas or nitrous oxide (NOS). I've got a thing for personalized plates. My Mach was DUS-10 (Dustin) and my current vehicle, an '88 F-150 is F-TRUCK. I have not installed the NOS yet, but have assembled most of the pieces of my sportsman fogger system onto an Edelbrock RPM-AIR-GAP manifold topped off with a Demon 750 carb. It is waiting patiently on my workbench. Well the story goes like many others you have probably heard. I purchased the car to be a descent daily driver. Even though it was not when I purchased it. I knew it had some rust, but it ran, had some decent wheels, a 4 speed toploader and the price was right. After diving into this project I just had to do it right or I wasn't going to be happy. I had planned on replacing the fenders and maybe re-skinning the doors. Well 2 fenders, new doors, both rear quarters, outer wheelhouses, a hood (my bad), taillight panel and front and rear valances here we are. I basically rebodied the whole car. What an experience, but I now know every nut and bolt on it. Once completed I will not have left a bolt unturned. I have performed all the work myself on this project. About the only thing I can think of that I will not be doing is the rear seat upholstery. So far I have installed a TCP front coil over conversion (ouch, kinda pricey, but oh so sweet). Wilwood front disc brakes, GRAB-A-TRAK 4 leaf reverse eye springs with heavy duty shackles, ceramic coated Hooker Competition long tube headers, Flowmaster dual exhaust with 40 series mufflers modified to go through GT rear valance, heavy duty front sway bar, Corbeau seats, Haneline gauge panel and Autometer gauges. Well the gauges aren't really installed yet, I am building a wiring loom right now with AMP connectors so I can disconnect it with ease. Oh yeah, I have also just recently finished the paint. I am still working on the little pieces though like the window trim, bumpers and locks etc. I am going to paint all the window trim black so it will disappear with the dark tint I will put on the windows. The bumpers will be the same color as the car. I have also smoothed the body seams behind the rear door and on the back deck. Take a look at the pics. I will keep adding them as I take more. They aren't the best quality right now. I am looking at getting a new digital camera soon and will take some better ones. If you have any questions about the mods, feel free to ask. I did a lot of research before purchasing some of this stuff to make sure it was going to fit. I know how it is. You get a lot of different answers from people.
