Comment from Eighth Day Assembly:

Eighth Day Assembly asked Theomatics Research to run the theomatics on the Garden of Eden and the Temple to see if it could be confirmed mathematically in the Word of God that -- "the Temple in Jerusalem was a prototype of the Garden of Eden." The results, although not complete in their entirety, are absolutely phenomenal!!!

(If you already know what theomatics is and would like to "Jump" directly to the section on the Theomatics of the Temple and Eden, click here.....Theomatics and Eden.

However, before we proceed with the fantastic results, some may be wondering...

What is Theomatics?........

INTRODUCTION TO THEOMATICS

Theo = God (in Greek) Matics = suffix for mathematics, or.....
"the numbers or mathematics of God."

(The following introduction is taken by permission from Del Washburn's web page):

THEOMATICS is a major discovery that was made during the years of 1975/1976, in Portland, Oregon (USA). Twenty years and literally thousands upon thousands of hours of comprehensive research, have since been invested.

Most all of this research has been done in private, and shared among just a few individuals. It has received very little publicity and exposure in the media. A great deal of thought and careful prayer went into the decision to put this information on the World Wide Web. If the Christian world had any true comprehension of this discovery or its implications, it would change forever the entire scope of theology and religion.

In theomatics, people can learn how God has written His entire Word mathematically, because existing inside the Bible there is a mathematical design. This design is the watermark that reveals God's divine authorship. No other work of literature ever written, apparently, contains anything that closely resembles theomatics. It is totally unique to the 66 books of the Bible.

No existing word could be found to accurately describe this phenomena in the Bible, so a new word was coined---theomatics. It is actually the composite of two words. The Greek word for God is Theo, and when combined with the suffix for the word mathematics, the result is "theomatics." It means "the numbers or mathematics of God."

In 1978, Del Washburn co-authored a book with Jerry Lucas (of basketball and memory fame) entitled Theomatics: God's Best Kept Secret Revealed. The book sold almost 90,000 copies in hardback and trade editions (and is no longer in print). It was promoted heavily on the PTL television network, 700 CLUB, the TV across Canada. In 1994, Theomatics II was published. The book is 663 pages long and very extensive.

This recently discovered evidence may be as new as the word theomatics, but it is also as old and ancient as the Bible itself. The Old and New testaments as we know them were originally given to us in Hebrew and Greek. In theomatics we discover how God assigned each letter and in turn each word of the Bible with a number or theomatic value---the same as everything else in creation. Everything in the Bible was composed and written mathematically. (The next category on the home page---The Numerical Structure of the Bible, will explain more fully how Theomatics works.)

The implications of all this is staggering! It means that God---sometime in eternity past---orchestrated and planned every event mentioned in the Bible---right down to the last "jot and tittle." Every single person that was to be born, what their names were going to be, and the precise time of their birth... the time and manner that everything was to happen... and what every word in the Bible would ultimately be. Each and every word had to be spelled precisely so it would come out to its exact and pre-determined numerical value, and then be placed into the text in a precise location. All of this took place without mankind having any direct knowledge that behind earth's stage, God was pulling all the strings and manipulating the entire drama.

Even though the magnitude of this discovery is just starting to unveil itself, over the centuries many men have speculated, believed and taught that some sort of hidden and supernatural phenomenon existed underneath the original Hebrew and Greek text of the Bible---based upon the numerical values for the alphabets of these languages. They believed that a cipher, or key, that would unlock a deeper symbolic and spiritual meaning behind the literal words of the text, was placed there by a supernatural act of God, unbeknown to the men who actually penned the text.

Contemporary Bible scholars, and most all modern evangelical scholars, have either lampooned this idea or completely ignored the subject. As a general whole, modern Biblical scholarship does not even recognize the possibility that such a phenomenon as theomatics could even exist. This subject lies completely outside the realm of their knowledge.

Now what makes theomatics unique, is the fact that its existence can be scientifically proven in the laboratory---according to the scientific method. That means that individual people can perform unbiased and objective tests mathematically---by computer---that will prove convincingly that theomatics is valid, and that God did indeed place this supernatural phenomena into the text. In otherwords, the numbers are not random but contain certain quantitative regularities. And there exists no natural cause explanation for this phenomena, either. Only a divine Power and Mind could have placed it there.

NOTE: It should be pointed out that it is impossible to scientifically prove the existence of God (God cannot be placed in a test tube and analyzed in the laboratory---obviously). The existence of God must be accepted by faith alone. The best that theomatics can accomplish is demonstrate that the mind of man could not have orchestrated and written the Bible (nor does there exist any "natural cause explanation" for this phenomena either). That being so, the only possible conclusion is that "God" must have done it. What other possibility is there?

Nothing before---ever in history---related to God or theology---has ever been able to make the claims that theomatics does. But theomatics can back those claims up with hard core scientific evidence.

Apologetics (or the defense of the Scriptures) is a major subject of importance. Many things such as archaeological discoveries and fulfilled Old Testament prophecies, offer "proof" of the Bible's veracity. Yet nothing ever before in history can apparently offer proof at the intellectual level of certainty, that theomatics does.

But not only does theomatics give us confirmation of the Bible's validity from an apologetic standpoint. The mathematical patterns in the text will also reveal the fact that God never intended---in the eternal sense---that His Word be understood only by the rules of grammar and the facts of history (the grammatical-historical method that all schools of theology strictly follow). The words of the Bible and their literal meanings are only the outer shell.

What this numbering system that God has placed does---is bring forth the deeper meanings of scripture. In otherwords, God placed within the text of His Word a "hidden revelatory process" that will ultimately reveal the symbolism that exists in Genesis, Daniel, Revelation---and for that matter, the entire Bible.

Once all of this is understood more fully, we will for once and for ever arrive at determining what God's original intended meaning was. Theomatics takes nothing away from the literal words, but establishes the fact that God has protected His truth from unsanctified and prying eyes, with symbolism, parables, and allegories. Theomatics completely destroys the popular fundamentalist/evangelical premise of trying to interpret everything in the Bible historically and literally.

There is a Divine and supernatural aspect to the Bible that has never been seen or understood before now. What this discovery will clearly bring forth, is the fact that there is a heavenly picture and meaning behind the earthly events and stories that are mentioned. God has a much bigger picture in mind than what people have ever imagined.

Numerical Structure of Theomatics

AND NOW...

THEOMATICS AND EDEN
by Del Washburn

(Notice: Before we begin, please note that due to specific browser incompatibility, the original Hebrew and Greek words used in the following scriptures are not viewable at this time.)

"And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed" (Genesis 2:8).

EASTWARD IN EDEN 310 (124 x 2.5)
Genesis 2:8

EDEN (124)
Genesis 2:8

HE PUT THERE THE MAN WHOM (1240)
Genesis 2:8

The following reference from Isaiah really homes in on this concept and ties it to the number 124.

"And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a garden watered, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not" (Isaiah 58:11).

BE LIKE A GARDEN (124 x 4)
Isaiah 58:11

EDEN (124)
Genesis 2:8

"And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life in the middle of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil." (Genesis 2:9).

LIFE IN THE MIDDLE (124 x 4)
Genesis 2:9

Relative to the garden itself and pointing directly to it, right after man fell in Genesis 3, he "heard the sound of Jehovah God walking about in the garden in the cool of the day, and hid the man and his wife…" (Genesis 3:8)

WALKING ABOUT IN (124 x 4)
Genesis 3:8

WALKING ABOUT (124 x 4)
Genesis 3:8

"And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads" (Genesis 2:10)

WATER THE GARDEN (124 x 7)
Genesis 2:10

I show the following example because in Revelation 22:2, it talks about "the tree of life that bears twelve manner of fruits."

"But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die" (Genesis 3:3).

FROM FRUIT OF TREE IN MIDDLE OF GARDEN (124 x 12)
Genesis 3:3

The above is just a brief analysis of the garden references in the Old Testament. Here is one more of the handful of Eden references from the Old Testament.

"For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD;" (Isaiah 51:3).

MAKE HER WILDERNESS LIKE EDEN (124 x 6)
Isaiah 51:3

MAKE HER WILDERNESS LIKE (124 x 5)
Isaiah 51:3

The expression "her wilderness like garden" equals 124 x 6, but requires removal of ending letter on the word wilderness, which is usually the article. I need to consult with a Hebrew scholar on this.

The Garden of Eden is a Pattern for Other Things

The following passage from Jeremiah, is most significant as it relates to all this. The garden of Eden was the first temple or sanctuary. It is the place where life and relationship began.

"A glorious high throne from the beginning place of our sanctuary" (Jeremiah 17:12).

FROM BEGINNING PLACE OF OUR SANCTUARY (1240)
Jeremiah 17:12

THE BEGINNING PLACE (124 x 6)
Jeremiah 17:12

Another most significant reference to all this, is in Hebrews 8:5, where it talks about Moses completing the tabernacle. He completed the pattern that was laid down in the Garden of Eden.

"Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to complete the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount" (Hebrews 8:5).

TO COMPLETE (124 x 4)
Hebrews 8:5

The earthly tabernacle was a further completion of the original Garden of Eden tabernacle.

MAKE ALL THINGS ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN (124 x 9 x 2)
Hebrews 8:5

PATTERN (900) PATTERN (900 in Hebrew from same O.T. quoted passage)
Hebrews 8:5 Exodus 25:40

I looked up a number of Hebrew references to the word pattern, in reference to the making of the tabernacle and temple. Two of them came out to 124.

PATTERN (124 x 2)
Numbers 8:4

PATTERN (124 x 7)
2 Kings 16:10

Now comes this verse in Hebrews.

"Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the pattern which he had been shown" (Acts 7:44).

THE TABERNACLE OF WITNESS (1240 x 2)
Acts 7:44

Now look at the following phrase, which has the same value.

MAKE IT ACCORDING TO MODEL WHICH (1240 x 2)
Acts 7:44

Now we come to the following. The Garden of Eden was the first temple or tabernacle.

"The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing" (Hebrews 9:8).

THE FIRST (124 x 12)
Hebrews 9:8

In Revelation it talks about "the temple of the tabernacle."

THE TABERNACLE (124 x 8)
Revelation 15:5

It was in the original garden that God communed and had his tabernacle with man.

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God" (Revelation 21:3).

TABERNACLE OF GOD IS WITH (124 x 9)
Revelation 21:3

In the Old Testament, I did not find an overwhelming pattern to do with the tabernacle and the temple-based upon 124. I did, however, find this phrase.

"But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went in the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense" (2 Chronicles 26:16).

IN THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD (124)
2 Chronicles 26:16

A most fascinating theomatic example is the following. Both the above and the following 124 is no surprise since the center of the original temple was the Garden of Eden.

"Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the temple of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee" (Nehemiah 6:10).

IN THE TEMPLE (124 x 4)
Nehemiah 6:10

The foundation for the temple was the Garden of Eden. The following is three Hebrew words.

"And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, (Ezra 3:10).

BUILDERS LAID FOUNDATION OF TEMPLE (124 x 2)
Ezra 3:10

The Paradise In Heaven

Three times the New Testament mentions paradise. Here we shall find that the number 124 points straight to the fact, that the earthly Garden of Eden is representative of the heavenly paradise.

"And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43).

IN PARADISE (124 x 19)
Luke 23:43

The apostle Paul was caught up into paradise.

"How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter" (2 Corinthians 12:4).

CAUGHT UP INTO PARADISE (124 x 14)
2 Corinthians 12:4

In 2 Corinthians, Paul was caught up to the third heaven.

CAUGHT UP TO THE THIRD (124 x 22)
2 Corinthians 12:2

The next and last reference is the clearest. This shows forth the fact that the heavenly paradise is what the earthly Garden of Eden is symbolical of. Here the tree of life, which was in the earthly garden, is found in heaven.

"To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the middle of the paradise of God" (Revelation 2:7).

TO HIM THAT OVERCOMETH (1240)
Revelation 2:7

IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARADISE (124 x 7 x 3)
Revelation 2:7

IS IN (124 x 5)
Revelation 2:7

IN THE MIDDLE OF PARADISE OF GOD (124 x 26)
Revelation 2:7

In the story that Jesus told of Lazarus and the rich man, the rich man ended up in Hades, but Lazarus went to Abraham's bosom. The Jews always referred to Abraham's bosom as "paradise."

"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in the bosom of him" (Luke 16:22,23).

IN THE BOSOM (124 x 9)
Luke 16:23

THE BOSOM OF HIM (124 x 9 x 2)
Luke 16:23

The Bosom of the Father

Now there is one other very important reference related to the bosom and heaven. Notice the multiple of 24, which relates to the 24 elders (perfection and completeness). The bosom of the Father and paradise are the one and same.

"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him" (Joh 1:18).

WHICH IS IN THE BOSOM OF THE FATHER (124 x 24)
John 1:18

Jesus said the following in John 14.

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you" (John 14:2).

IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE (124 x 14)
John 14:2

Here are the next words of Jesus.

"I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2).

I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE (124 x 16)
John 14:2

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also" (John 14:3).

AND PREPARE A PLACE (1240)
John 14:3

" … that where I am, there ye may be also"

WHERE (124 x 5)
John 14:3

There is one other very fascinating passage that refers to God's heaven. It is found in Isaiah 14, the passage that speaks concerning Lucifer.

"For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:" (Isaiah 14:12).

The expression, "sides of the north," actually mean, "in the uttermost heights of Zaphon." This is apparently in reference to God's highest heaven.

IN THE UTTERMOST HEIGHTS OF ZAPHON (124 x 6)
Isaiah 14:12

References to Gardens

Five times in the New Testament it mentions a garden. All of these references are saturated with the 124 pattern.

"It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it" (Luke 13:19).

INTO HIS GARDEN (124 x 13)
Luke 13:19

"When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where there was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples" (John 18:1).

WHERE (124 x 5)
John 18:1

"One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? (John 18:26).

IN THE GARDEN WITH HIM (1240 x 2)
John 18:26

"Now there was in the place where he was crucified a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid" (John 19:41).

NOW THERE WAS IN THE PLACE WHERE (124 x 16)
John 19:41

NOW THERE WAS IN THE PLACE (124 x 11)
John 19:41

WHERE (124 x 5)
John 19:41

"… and in the garden a new sepulchre."

AND IN THE GARDEN (124 x 8)
John 19:41

The Temple of Heaven

The number 124 permeates a number of the key and most significant references to the temple, particularly in the book of Revelation. Here is a partial listing.

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Cor 3:16).

TEMPLE OF GOD (124 x 12)
Matthew 21:12

SPIRIT OF GOD IN (124 x 9)
Matthew 21:12

And that is why the following also works out to 124. It is those who overcome that are the true temple of God and will be granted to eat from the tree of life.

HIM THAT OVERCOMETH (1240)
Revelation 2:7

"If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God holy is, which temple ye are" (1 Corinthians 3:17).

FOR THE TEMPLE (124 x 4)
1 Corinthians 3:17

THE TEMPLE OF GOD HOLY (124 x 15)
1 Corinthians 3:17

"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God;" (2 Corinthians 6:16).

TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD (124 x 18)
2 Corinthians 6:16

"Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God" (2 Thessalonians 2:4).

IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD (124 x 7)
2 Thessalonians 2:4

"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God" (Revelation 3:12).

HIM THAT OVERCOMETH (1240)
Revelation 2:7

PILLAR IN THE TEMPLE OF MY GOD (1240)
Revelation 3:12

"And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein" (Revelation 11:1).

MEASURE THE TEMPLE (124 x 11)
Revelation 11:1

"But the court which is without the temple cast it out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months" (Revelation 11:2).

CAST IT OUT (124 x 8)
Revelation 11:2

The above is very interesting and very revealing. Man was cast out of the garden. The portion outside of the temple, is not part of the garden of Eden, and so it was cast out (hence the 124 pattern). All the nations are currently trampling the City of Jerusalem which surrounds the temple.

The following example points to the exact place-the original garden of Eden-that the temple points to.

"And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament" (Revelation 11:19).

WHICH IS IN (124)
Revelation 11:19

"And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle" (Revelation 14:17).

THE TEMPLE IN HEAVEN (124 x 25)
Revelation 14:17

"It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these" (Hebrews 9:23).

THE THINGS IN HEAVEN (124 x 17)
Hebrews 9:23

The following has the same exact value as the above.

"For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true things; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us" (Hebrews 9:24).

THE TRUE THINGS (124 x 17)
Hebrews 9:24

"And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done" (Revelation 16:17).

TEMPLE OF HEAVEN (124 x 13)
Revelation 16:17
