IN, ANTICIPATION, by Rev. D.L. Moose
Trembling for life I said a prayer
Then from the dust of death, I was pulled through the air
Seeking answers here already shared
Touched by life's breath, while held to His bosom there
In peace and comfort and caressed by His arms
My soul is now rested, untouched by harm
And while the worldly lived in their sickening wage
My spirit was lifted, but my tempest raged
Then another voice spoke, from the depths of darkness
Whispering from it's unseen cloak for souls to harness
I cried to my God from under the alter I bare
The world listens to a voice that doesn't care,
How long, oh Lord, holy and true
Wilt thou avenge our blood and the war is through
Till then I shall rest, in a season of meditation
While the battle goes forth in time of tribulation
Then so quickly in the twinkling of an eye
When the seventh trumpet sounds, and like lightning strikes
I'll see you in heaven, and no longer in my mind
Then my family, I will hold you, and caress you, like His love divine,
It's good to see you brother,
