We believe...
In essentials ~ unity... In non-essentials
~ liberty...
In differences ~ dialogue... In all things ~ charity...
1. Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
In the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that He is self-existent, eternal, creator, and sustainer of all things; whose complexity is revealed in a unity known as the Godhead.2. In the deity of the man called Jesus of Nazareth as the promised Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Christ), conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.
3. That the written Holy scriptures are by inspiration of God consisting of Old Testament, New Testament, and many other inspired texts. In the infallibility of the scriptures, but not in the infallibility of man's interpretation of those scriptures. For an expanded view, please see our very profound study entitled, "In the Beginning Was the Word."
4. In the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua HaMashiach whose blood is the ultimate and final atonement for sin, who ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the Father.
5. In the forgiveness of the sins AND the gathering together of the lost sheep of Israel through the finished work of the cross.
6. In the Ruach HaKodesh (Spirit of the Holy One) that indwells all believers, guides, trains, prepares, and strengthens according to God's divine will and pleasure.
7. In the resurrection of the dead, and gathering together of the saints of God in a literal event known as the Second Advent (appearing) of Yeshua HaMashiach at which time all things in the creation are changed and a new dimension of reality ushered in.
8. In the reconciliation and unity of both Judaism and Christianity ~ Zion ~ God's elect, as one faith, one body, one tree, together being reconciled/fulfilled in one by Yeshua HaMashiach through the finished work of the cross in the here and now, and not at some future date. We do *not* support replacement or separation theology. We *do* support Grafted-In Theology.
Ephesians 2:14-16 tells us. "For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the DIVIDING WALL, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of Commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into ONE NEW MAN, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them BOTH in ONE BODY to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity." NASU
On a personal note: This scripture is the core meaning of the mystical number given to Eighth Day Assembly many years ago...the number 282, that expresses the meaning of Ephesians 2:14-16.
9. In physical miracles, healing, and prosperity only according to the will of God and not according to the will or desire of man.
10. In the power of prayer and supplication to God the Father for ourselves and for others.
11. In the practice of good works and deeds according to conscience, and modesty in all things including appearance, dress, conduct, and speech.
12. In obedience to the laws and authority over us in our home, church, community, and government.
13. That love and respect for God, ourselves, and all things is the totality of the works of God fulfilled.
14. In the responsibility of Christians to understand and identify with our Hebrew Roots ~ however, we do *not* support the idea that Christians or Messianic Jews need to become followers of Rabbinical (Talmudic) Judaism. (Please read Torah Observance? Are Christians Restored to the Sinai Covenant?, by John J. Parsons, plus many of his other articles regarding Torah Observance). We *do* support, if one desires to experience the richness and joy of participating in God's Sabbath, Festivals, and appointed times as set forth in Torah, it should be done by choice and *not* requirement.
15. In tolerance toward all peace-loving faiths and nations throughout the world.Eighth Day Assembly Statement of Faith
