9Y4/N4ZDL operated from the island of Tobago from December 19 - 25, 2003. The goal of the Tobago DXpedition
was to enable as many amateur radio operators as possible to make contact with Tobago. The results are in! Highlights of the DXpedition
include:
QSOs. Made 518 QSOs with ham radio operators from around the world. Made QSOs with ham radio operators in 54 DXCC
entities and 41 US states, including Hawaii.
Population Centers. Made QSOs with ham radio operators in seven major population centers: Africa, Asia, Europe, North
America, South America, and Oceana.
New Ones. Provided first contact with Tobago for a number of ham radio operators. My new ones included 9V-Singapore,
ZK1-South Cook Island, ZP-Paraguay, PZ-Suriname, VP8-Falkland Islands, and EL-Liberia.
Bands. Operated on five bands: 28 MHz, 21 MHz, 14 MHz, 7.1 MHz, and 3.6 MHz.
Modes. Balanced operating modes between SSB (on 28 MHz, 21 MHz, 14 MHz, 7.1 and 3.6 MHz) and CW (on 7.1 MHz).
Propagation. Studied propagation, compared actual propagation with predictions, and published
results.
We had a great time, and we hope to do it again sometime!
