About Tobago

The lovely island of Tobago and its sister island of Trinidad form the unique Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago is located in the southern Caribbean Sea, off of the coast of Venezuela. The country is one of the most prosperous in the Caribbean, due to petroleum and natural gas production and processing. Tobago is the smaller and lesser developed of the two islands; it is approximately 26 miles long and six miles wide. The people of Tobago are very friendly to visitors, and the island is safe for travellers. Tobago offers beautiful beaches, lush rainforests, and prodigious varieties of birds for the eco-tourist. It offers a broad range of water sports -- snorkeling, diving. windsurfing, sailing, and deep-sea fishing -- for the sports enthusiast.
