Discography
(a work in progress - if you can help, please e-mail me)
1980s
Tucker was involved in a number of bands / projects in the New Jersey area in the '80s including Regressive Aid (originally known as Regressive Aid Factor or RAF - Tucker, Sim Cain, Andrew Weiss), Lunchmeat 2000 (members of Regressive Aid and The Groceries), St. Celelia (Amor Fati, Tucker), Swinging Pistons (Tucker, Andy Gomory of The Groceries), Sex Dog Helicopter, Scornflakes (Tucker, Sim Cain, Andrew Weiss, Chris "Boy White" Chang), Cleft Palate (Tucker, Chris Chang - they were Lynn Koehler's wedding band on May Day, 1988 and video exists), Leather Studded Diaphragm and 15. So far information on this era has been scarce but the 1998 Damn zine interview provides some insights. Below is a list of some of these releases. If you have any more info, please e-mail me.

Mathew Young "Dummy Line" (remix) 1986?
Excerpt from 5/31/03 H(ear) interview with Matthew Young:
CA: There's that alternative version of "Dummy Line" which you gave me. You were telling me this was recorded with William Tucker who did the music for the film Pi?
MY: Andy Gomory mixed Traveler's Advisory at his Gabriel Farm Studio near here, and he and Bill Tucker were involved in a project recording people they knew and liked and sending a small pressing of singles out to college radio stations on a regular basis. I wasn't part of this circle of musicians (which involved the band Ween and revolved around the the Princeton Record Exchange, a great for hard-to-find CDs and LPs), but they wanted to do a version of "Dummy Line", which was fine with me. They recorded my dulcimer and vocals and then added the other instruments. I didn't see Bill again, but was aware of his work on Pi, and then heard maybe a year and a half ago that he had committed suicide in Chicago, where he was living. I don't know the circumstances.
OIA "Black Marlin / Big Mouth" 12" (RD3 Records RD3-003) 1987Gabe says "not listed as to what Tucker actually does, or any involvement at all, but there are samples of things like radio host Paul Harvey's voice. Was told by Greg Frey who is listed as playing guitar that Tucker played guitar on this record, but I think it is safe to say he's the one doing the samples and helping engineer or program."

They were recorded in 1998 and 1999 as rough demos for a collaborative project with Groovie Mann. Unfortunately, the project was never completed. Nevertheless, these rough mixes are a testament fo William's sonic brilliance and quirky sense of humor." Dedicated to Amber Guitarstar (Tucker's Thrill Kill Kult pseudonym).

The quality is still pretty good, it's a DAT recording from the sound board, and it includes the ENTIRE set with a full band lineup, the disc is 75 minutes and includes gems from "Whiplash," "Phenobarb," as well as covers of John Cale's "Chicken shit," Alice Cooper's "Desperado," and Neil Young's "Fuckin' up"... stay tuned for details..."

Jared Louche of Chemlab said the following on 10/26/03 at the Chemlab site: "To compensate somewhat for this disappointing delay, I’ll have copies of a limited edition EP with me on the Pigface tour. It’ll have a few trax on it that you might be interested in - a couple of trax from OXIDIZER, as well as two from some EAST SIDE MILITIA demos which I came across recently. The demos feature Geno and the late great William Tucker - very different versions than on the album, and they sound amazing!"

Model Murmur
Bordell Geistnote - Chris Connelly "The version of 'The early nighters' here is the demo me and William Tucker recorded before the 'shipwreck' version, it was done at about 4 in the morning after a long night drinking around our Chicago haunts, we probably had no business putting our hands on musical equipment, but there is something very plaintive about this version of the song that we both loved." "Model Murmur" is by the "Shipwreck" touring band so Tucker presumably plays guitar (though the mix is mostly keys and vocals).
Misc:
Tucker also gave guitar lessons and was on Sonic Foundry's "Acid Rock" Loops for ACID™ sound library.

"Sony Acid Loop Libraries: Acid Rock"
note - "Sonic Foundry is pleased to welcome ACID Rock into the Loops for ACID family of loop libraries. Previously released as one of our popular loops-and-software combination packages, the ACID Rock construction kit contains more than eight hundred loops from a variety of great players, including drummers Siggi Baldursson (Sugarcubes, Emiliana Torrini) and Dave Abbruzzese (formerly of Pearl Jam). You'll find killer guitar loops from blues master Paul Black and industrial shredder William Tucker. The collection is rounded out with a fine assortment of even more acoustic and electric guitar loops, plus bass, piano, clavinet, synth, and sax loops. ACID Rock is a complete construction kit, and makes an ideal set of starter loops if modern rock is your thing. ACID Rock the easiest way to fire up your rock in ACID.ID."
Live:
various shows and tours with Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pigface, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult ("Amber Guitarstar" on the Sexplosion I and I tours), Chris Connelly (1995 Shipwreck), Swinging Junkies, Foetus (1996 Boil) and Thanatos. The Ministry "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" VHS and Pigface "Glitch" VHS/DVD capture several of these moments. Just prior to his death he was to tour again with Ministry for their "Dark Side of the Spoon" tour ...
