The Conversation Pt. 1
The Conversation Pt. 2
I Can’t Get Behind That!

"World War Z" audio book by Max Brooks

Rollins narrates the character of T. Sean Collins.  2/1/07 The Free Lance-Star article.

"Read by a full cast (abridged, six hours. Random House Audio, $29.95) including:  Alan Alda, Carl Reiner, Mark Hamill, Henry Rollins, John Turturro, Rob Reiner and Brooks as the one compiling interviews with survivors of a worldwide war between zombies and humans.

While the variety of locales - China, Israel, South Africa, Canada, the United States, Cuba, Chile, Finland, Greenland, Barbados, Japan - puts to shame any James Bond story, the book lacks suspense.

Instead, it has realism to emphasize how the zombie wars upend how people live and what they hold sacred. The best example occurs in South Africa, where a dreaded apartheid-era figure comes up with a plan to save the country by sacrificing parts of the population. Though most of the politicians are aghast, they accept it once the unnamed but recognizable Nelson Mandela figure approves.

The performances emphasize this human quality of physical and psychological struggle."

"Henry Rollins - Live In the Conversation Pit" DVD

Now available from 2.13.61 and released in stores on January 15, 2008.  "In May 2005, HENRY ROLLINS performed his 8th Spoken Word tour of Australia. The first three dates were at the York Theatre in Sydney's Seymour Centre. All three shows were filmed and some post-show interviews were filmed as well resulting in Live in the Conversation Pit the first ever HENRY ROLLINS Spoken Word DVD filmed entirely in Australia. The Sydney dates were shows 44-46 of the 25 Years of Bullshit Tour, which took in 11 countries from January to December 2005. Henry Rollins is a huge admirer of Australia having travelled here some 26 times in total, covering Spoken Word performance, Rollins Band tours and promotional tours. Late in 2005, Henry was approached by the Big Day Out to appear at the 2006 travelling festival marking Henry's first appearance on that event since the inaugural event in Sydney way back in 1992. On that event he appeared as guest vocalist for Sydney band, the Hard-Ons. This time Henry will appear in Spoken Word mode and the second and consequently 3rd - 7th times he will have performed his art at such an event, the one previous time being as a breakfast date to 5000 metal fans at the UK version of Ozzfest. Henry had no hesitation of accepting the challenge set by the Big Day Out this summer and will deliver all his barb, wit and charm to an unsuspecting teenage set this summer. Released to coincide with the Big Day Out 2006, highlights from this compelling 150-minute DVD include The Time I Was Funny, The King of Rock n Roll and the hilarious and daunting story of Henry's solo travels across the great Russian winter wonderland, Siberia. HENRY ROLLINS is a very funny and very smart man delivering critically observant takes on the life around him. Sometimes political, sometimes sociological but always utterly entertaining. No lectures here."

From the back cover:  "In May 2005, I made my 26th trip to Australia for some talking shows. The first three dates were in Sydney. We rolled film on the performances and some post-show interviews as well. This DVD is what made the final cut. The Sydney dates were 44-46 of the 119 tour dates that made up the 25 Years Of Bullshit Tour which took in 11 countries from January to December 2005. I always have a great time in this beautiful country and have recorded live albums here both with the band and on my own but this is the first DVD effort. I hope you like it. Thanks for showing up."

Henry Rollins "San Francisco 1990"

Now available from the 2.13.61 store.  "Hello. I wanted to tell you a few things about this DVD. Many years ago, my friend Joe Cole and I wanted to release a series of live videos of my talking shows. Joe would shoot, he and our friend Modi would edit and produce and I would release them on my label. That was the plan at least. Joe was killed in 1991 and our grand scheme abruptly ceased. We did get some shows in the can before Joe departed and over the years, I wanted to get some of the material out and the DVD seemed like the perfect medium so we dug out the tapes and got to work. It was interesting to watch such a young version of myself. On this night, I was surprised at what I said about Jane’s Addiction, how I was unable to understand what their appeal was because they ended up being one of my favorite bands of all time. It was true though, I didn’t get it at first. How things change! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this slice of ancient history. We will go through these archival tapes to see if there’s more content that we think merits your time and expenditure and bring it to your attention when we can. Thank you for checking this out. --Henry"

"Henry Rollins - Live In the Conversation Pit" DVD

Released January 30, 2006 in Australia by Shock Records and November 20, 2006 by 2.13.61.
