| There have been a number of Arizona trails that have been closed recently due to environmentalists and/or the Clinton administration.
Right now though, I've decided to just list the ones that I have seen official reporting/documentation for.
After I do some research, I'll post the rest of the list if I can find the supporting information. | ||

Special update (06/09/00) : From the White House - Office of the Press Secretary RE : Establishment of the Ironwood Forest National Monument by the President of the United States of America "...For the purpose of protecting the objects identified above, the Secretary of the Interior shall prohibit all motorized and mechanized vehicle use off road, except for emergency or authorized administrative purposes." ****This monument is about 135,000 acres in size. 53,000 of which is State land, NOT Federal.
