AMBER ABBOTT has always been interested in drawing and painting since
she was a child. Her notebooks throughout high school and college always
had doodling in the margins. It wasn't until 2003, while she was working at the Boys
& Girls Club, that a friend of hers introduced her to Acrylics. This is where she
painted her first picture, the Basset Hound, with her friend's assistance. She has dabbled in
the media ever since and has recently enrolled in an art class with the City
of Glendale. "I just do it for fun and in my spare time. My favorite subject is
animals. Their eyes just give them so much character and personality."
