Spring Meeting 2009
The spring meeting was held Saturday, April 25, 2009, at UNO. At the end of the business meeting, Dr. Tony Jung from UNO was honored for 40 years of service to the profession, as he enters retirement at the end of this school year.
A speaker from the Anti-Defamation League presented materials and talked about how to use them in the classroom. Mike Bendorf, German teacher at Westside High School, gave a presentation about using podcasts in the classroom.
At 1:30, the Awards Tea to honor students for their results on the National German Exam was held. Sixty-two students from eight schools were honored.
