Objectives of the Safari Program:
1.    To have fun and to continue our lifelong learning
2.    To participate in low stress activities such as nature, music, drama, storytelling, crafts, laughing
3.    To get to know AAUW Branch members better
4.    To provide opportunities for prospective Branch members to learn more about the AAUW Mission as we promote equity for women and girls, lifelong education and positive societal change.



AAUW of Virginia, Southwest District, will hold its fall meeting Saturday, October 13, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Central Virginia Community College in Bedford, hosted by Bedford County Branch. Roanoke Valley Branch members will have the option of going on a mini-safari to either Jefferson’s Poplar Forest ($9 general admission  or $7.50 seniors) or National D-Day Memorial ($5).To carpool from Roanoke Valley, meet at 9:40 a.m. at Lowe’s/Wal-Mart on 460 East.Park near the Lowe's sign by the entrance on 460.
