sw2003
Here are my pictures from SW2003. My camera accidently switched into nighttime mode for some of them, so if they look funky its because they were way overexposed before I photoshopped them.
Here's my car first thing in the morning before I left.
The San Diego caravan meets at Rik's (Nix) house. Yes, I'm the only MR2 and it's only the three of us.
On the road.
We meet with part of the LA group. I'm still the only MR2.
We meet with the rest of our caravan and have lunch. Finally some other MR2s.
Back on the road again.
Anyone who came from California on Friday will remember this one. Some motorcycle guys were messing around, one fell and died. We ended up being dead stop on the road for about an hour and a half. Also, the Oscar Mayer Weener mobile.
We finally enter Vegas. We leave River side at 10, get to LV at 5:30.
Some Las Vegas Native.
Dan (PBS) has some trouble at the drags. Rik (Nix) video tapes.
Some cars at the parking lot of the drags.
RSe Lite or whatever it's called these days.
One fast Celica, the Shuttle.
The drags. Dan stands up for the MK1s and Bill watches his competition.
It's Mike's car, except not yellow and not fast.
Car trouble.
That's a V6.
More cars in the parking lot.
Whatever it was, it was fast.
EVO.
More drags.
MK1s represent.
Mmmm, 355.
Us Californians are jelous. This is at the pump, not at the track, a few miles from our hotel.
Concourse event. Think I have a chance?
Carlos.
3SGTE.
Some pictures of LVMS.
More cars.
It shot flames.
The drive back including Quickie and his clean SC.
He must have not known we were there this weekend.
Vegas Baby.
The banquet.
A bunch of track day pics.
Dmitri as Kermit the Frog.
I heard the stories and had to see for myself. Best to not discuss on the board.
The SoCal crew begins their drive home.
An MR7 rollin on some dubs.
Hondah drivers.
This idiot was weaving through traffic and tailgating us at 90mph all on a donut spare.
You'll have to search for the story behind this one.
The SoCal crew has dinner at Victorsville before we finally get home.
And there's my SW2003 storybook adventure.
