ACC member Rene Valenzuela (Chile) attended this Specialty and put together a
great DVD! Some of the featured dogs are Tiger, Canvas, Blaze, Hummer and
Yakkity. Thanks to Rene for this generous donation to benefit CBR health! Your
donation is tax-deductible and you get a great DVD too! Donations will support

Matching Gifts Programs
Many companies provide a Matching Gift Program benefit for their
employees and this is a great way to double your contribution to the American Chesapeake Club Charitable Trust.
These programs allow an employee to request that their employer match any
qualifying charitable donation that they might choose to make within the limits
set by the employer.
Be sure to check with your employee benefits coordinator before making your
donation to see if they offer this great benefit!
Gifts of Stock
The end of the year is often a time to review stock portfolios. Stock that
has appreciated significantly over the years makes an ideal charitable
contribution to qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
Donations to the American Chesapeake Club Charitable Trust can qualify for
this treatment. Rather than pay capital gains on appreciated stock, donors of
stock to the Trust can receive a charitable contribution for the value of the
stock on the day it is transferred as a donation. The value is determined by
averaging the high and low price of the stock on the day of transfer. In order
for donations to be declared in the current year, the transfer must be made
before December 31 of that year.
The American Chesapeake Club Charitable Trust brokerage firm is Smith
Barney.
