 RIDES CHOSEN:

The newly formed ACE, Yuma Chapter will have the first ride of members on June 18, 2005 at 0900. The ride will begin at Burgers and Beer and continue to Martinez Lake Restaurant.

 BUSINESS: New (No Old Business)

1.    All members would like to express their gratitude to ACE M/C for granting us in Yuma our own chapter.

2.    The club would like to organize a run in the memory of Lisa Shay (ACE Member killed by a drunk driver in Dec.). This run would go to a worthwhile charity or the children left behind. Details to be discussed at a later meeting. All members were in favor.

3.    John L. will follow up on the conviction process of the drunk driver that killed Lisa Shay. ACE Members plan to attend the sentencing to ensure the judge understands the impact to our community that he has caused.

4.    Discussion regarding the amendment to the ACE Bylaws to allow members of other law enforcement agencies corrections personnel to join ACE. All members were in favor, as this would only expand ACE numbers and professional networking for all members.

5.    Mike will make contact with the other M/C in the area and make them aware of the presence of the Yuma ACE Chapter.

Follow-up: Smokey of the Rough Riders M/C was contacted. He advised that a meeting of area clubs to discuss runs and events. The meeting will take place in July. He will pass our information to his president. More follow-up to come as it becomes available.

6.    Charlie will contact Jess or Jeff to get the schedule of Phx. Chapter meetings, as several Yuma members would like to attend some meetings from time to time.
