2. Will you reveal your reserve?
Most of our auctions don't have reserves, but when they do, we do not reveal reserve prices.
3. Do you charge a packing/handling fee or just actual shipping?
There is a packing fee to cover the costs of materials and labor. Some items will need to be packed by a professional service (especially furniture or especially expensive items), other items we pack ourselves. The amount of the packing fee changes based on the difficulty of packing the item and the amount of materials required to secure it for safe shipment. A small non-fragile item will only have a small fee, a fragile or large item will have a larger fee.
4. Is insurance included in the shipping cost?
Yes, insurance is included in the shipping cost of all our listings.
5. I am an international bidder, will you declare my item as a gift?
No, we do not declare items as gifts.
6. What happens if I don’t pay for an item I win?
We require payment within two weeks of the auction end date. If we don't receive payment within two weeks, we will open an unpaid item case with eBay. At this time, eBay will send the buyer a message reminding him or her to pay for the item. If the total is not paid within seven days after filing the dispute, we will close the case, re-list the item, and block the buyer from bidding on our future auctions. Multiple unpaid items can result in suspension by eBay.
7. If I missed bidding on your item and I see the reserve was not met, can I ask what the reserve price was?
Yes, please write us at acidstamp@cox.net and we will let you know what the reserve price was on the item and whether or not we plan to relist it.
8. What is your return policy?
We offer 100% satisfaction guarantee on every item we sell. Simply email us within three days of receiving the item to let us know you are returning it for a refund. Securely repackage the item and ship it back to us with full insurance. We will provide you with shipping instructions via email. We must receive the item within two weeks of hearing from you. We must receive the same item we shipped originally in its original condition. We refund the winning bid amount only, not the packing/shipping/insurance fees. Note that our return policy is void if more than 3 days expires after you receive the item, if more than 2 weeks passes before we receive the return, if you ship the item anywhere else before returning it to us, if you offer the item for sale yourself after receiving it, or if we receive an altered or substituted item.
9. Why did you choose the name "Acidstamp" for your business?
One of our first auctions was for a piece of art glass which was signed on the base with an acidstamped/acid-etched signature. The name refers to "acidstamp" signatures on glass items; it's not a 60's counter-culture reference! We knew we would be selling a lot of antiques, furniture and art glass and all of the obvious references to antiques and furniture and glass were taken, so we chose this easy to remember name for our eBay handle.
