Melody

I stand naked in the wilderness, I Feel the Melody

In the midst of the metropolis, I feel the melody.

Well you can strip me of all I own, I feel the melody

And you can strip me of flesh and bone, I retain the melody.

Soldier on the Battlefield, Seeking peace within his heart.

And there's a woman fighting equality, Trying to play the part.

I can see myself in both of them in everything I see.

I pour my soul into these songs, and convey the melodies.

Timeless pieces of my heart concealed rhythmically.

Thoughts and goals on parchment, voiced repeatedly.

If you wish to know me listen, for I speak my soul to thee.

Fearing not to be known, for the truth’s so hard to see.

Union of  verse and spirit, emerging from my soul

Flesh composing immortality, for mankind young and old.

Voices sounding inside of me, unleashed vitality

Bestowed with the volition, to execute the harmony.
