New Orleans  [play]

It’s late in the evening and I’m closing down my day

Off with all the lights, then my dreams take me away

To New Orleans, the alleys of Bourbon Street

Sin fills the air, and with a drink in my hand I take to the street

Music fills the air and enters the soul of every man

Inspiration wells in me, and with a click of the sticks I start up the band

Music fills the air and moves the people to their feet

Their lips mimic the words and their bodies the beat

This feels like heaven, why must this be a dream

I’m falling, yes I’m falling down

To New Orleans, the Mississippi River flows

Hurricane winds blow and I love to hear that crazy Cajun Zydeco

Music fills the air as the good sun goes to sleep

Sin fills the air and the party starts on Bourbon Street.
