September [play]

September everything is starting to fall
I remember feeling like I'd just learned to crawl
Situations in life can leave you so content
Contemplation leaves you wondering where your soul went

Tarnished like a stone tryin' to shine
I wished for life in my heart seemed like I'd lost mine
Searchin' for something I never knew
True love, loving someone who loves you too.

Was in the fall of my rise
The beginning of the end of my demise
Was in the fall of my rise
The beginning of the end of my demise

September, wound a web round me saved me from the undertow
I Remember, finding that light in you, love to watch it glow
Looking out cross the plains wheat fields blow
Like an ocean fore a storm, the finest show

Gave my heart, to a farmer, cared for me from a seed
Protected, my innocence, I never realized it was greed
Proud and confident like the ocean 'fore a hurricane
Harvested, like the wheat fields cross the plains
