I provide information literacy instruction, faculty and student research support, and design programs for library integration into the college. I managed a circulating and reference collection of over15, 000 volumes, including 17 computers with database and Internet access. I also administered an annual budget of $25,000.  I collaborated with teachers to teach information-based lessons. I provided professional development support to teachers. I also sponsored school library functions and provided extended hours for staff and students. From 2002 to 2004, I assisted in the architectural planning and execution of a total library remodel.

I teach reading and literature to seventh and eighth grade students.  I designed a literature-based curriculum, aligned with district and state standards, that includes intensive experiences reading YA novels, participation in literature circles, and opportunities for free voluntary reading.
