Xulia and myself have long been interested in the Krolvin language and here we have compiled the words and their defanitions.


These definitions were approved, and some were defined, for me by the Krolvin Karsch. Each is as close to the common translation as they can get.

ap - I
ie: (Gnork) "Ap junda ik burzka!" (Khortal) "Ap gno Krol."

ap'll - I'll
ie: A skull attached to Gothique's sword exclaims, "Q'ap will burzgafk by g'noap and ap'll make a new sheath from yer grawel!"

apdo - he
ie: (Karsch) " Apdo is what you would call, in common, a pronoun. It applies to males. "He." (Akhri) "The floor is slippery. Apdo jundakt gno mordg."

apso - she
ie: (Karsch) "apso gno Krol"

akril - flee
ie: (Karsch) "Akril pra burzmorad." Flee or die." (Grarg) "Stand down, and akril. Q'ap are weak!"

arrorak - Coward, cowardly
ie: (Khortal) "Arrorak grarrog" (Gkig) "Smells arrorak."

av - in
ie: (Karsch) "Av is an easy one to discern, in context, actually. It is, in common, "in." (Khortal) "Q'ap burzmorad av gzadmor!" (Trudok) "Q'ap burzmorad av gzadmor."

awrda - using your head (so to speak), ?honor? ie: (Klaagh) "ye grarrog have the awdra of burzmokt dogs." (Unknown) "Ye're like the rest o' yer kind...ain't got grawel pra awrda!"

breftark - weep, shed tears
ie: (Grarg) "Q'ap burzmorad breftark!" (Karsch) "Breftark... It means weep, shed tears."

b'rua - laugh, mock
ie: (Gnork) "Ap b'rua q'ap morgil!" (Karsch) "b'rua means "laugh or mock."

b'ruarroak - Scarbeard, A huge fierce Krolvin with characteristic looks, a pirate. Perhaps more than one (Scarbeards) Scourge of the seas.
ie: (Tempton) "So this is our B'ruarroak in the flesh.." (Sankir) "B'ruarroak, yer Scarbeard, never existed."

burzgafk - death from disease or old age
ie: (Karsch) "It means "die" but differently than burzmorad. Disease, old age, those are situations where you would use burzgafk."

burzka - corpse, body
ie: (Klaagh) Ap gno Krol! I will junda on your rotten burzka."

burzmokt - dead
ie: (Klaagh) "ye grarrog have the awdra of burzmokt dogs." (Gkig) "With your bloody burzmokt." (Karsch) " it's related to burzmorad. It means "dead.""

burzmorad - die
ie: (Karsch) "Akril pra burzmorad." Flee or die." (Trudok) "Q'ap burzmorad av gzadmor." (Grarg) "Q'ap burzmorad breftark!"

currarik - building, place
ie: (Unknown) "Best be fer runnin', grarrog! This currarik is now gno Krol!"

czag -
ie: (Title) Czag Dubra

d'braburzkt - killed, murdered
ie: (Trudok) "Q'ap were speaking of the Krol you've d'braburzkt?"

d'karzte -
ie: (GM Bradach) "Jod gno Gemstone; jod tuzte d'karzte."

dubra - fighting of sorts, relying more on brawn
ie: (Title) Czag Dubra

gadzmor - I believe this to be a mispelling of gzadmor
ie: (Gkig) "Q'ap burzmorad av gazdmor!"

gno - of
ie: (Khortal) "Ap gno Krol."

g'noap - Their
ie: (Written on a manacle) It reads: "Gno B'ruaaroak, g'noap grarrog" The word "g'noap" had been scratched through the midle, and a word in common has been carved below it, "Their." (Reads "Of Scarbeard, my property")

grarrog - non Krolvin, slave, property
ie: (Klaagh) "ye grarrog have the awdra of burzmokt dogs."

grawel - guts, balls
ie: (Unknown) "Ye're like the rest o' yer kind...ain't got grawel pra awrda!" (Karsch) "Grawel for dinner."

gzadmor - pain
ie: (Khortal) "Morgil gzadmor grarrog." (Karsch) "Q'ap burzmorad av gzadmor, you will die in pain"

ik - on
ie: (Gnork) "Ap junda ik burzka!"

ilburz - kill
ie: (Karsch) "One of many words in the krolvin tongue for "kill."

jod -
ie: (GM Bradach) "Jod gno Gemstone; jod tuzte d'karzte."

junda - spit
ie: (Klaagh) Ap gno Krol! I will junda on your rotten burzka."

jundakt - same as junda, spit
ie: (Akhri) "The floor is slippery. Apdo jundakt gno mordg." (Karsch) "You would be correct in thinking they are the same."

Keelahg - A pirate, possibly a Scarbeard. A cloth found reads "Destroy this menace, Keelagh is fouler than a thousand Scarbeards, and unnatural."
ie: (Tempton) "We found this in a Krolvin storeroom, belonging to Scarb... eh.. Keelahg."

koask - see, view
ie: (Unknown) "Ap koask q'ap grawel, grarrog. I will see your guts."

kraken - A huge sea monster in Norwegian legend.
ie: (Gkig) "All the same, a kraken riding the waves."

Krint - A cold, rocky, desolate island in the arctic seas that is home to a race of half-krol. Named after Krintaur who started a breeding program to breed an army.

moradg - fearless, brave
ie: (Klaagh) "Moradg tezt gno Krol!" (Gkig) "Moradg grarrog." (Karsch) "The root word of the once Czag Dubra's name... Ironic that a word meaning "fearless or brave" would be given to one who failed so readily."

morgd - fear
ie: (Unknown) "I see the mordg in yer eyes, puny grarrog!"

morgil - suffer, suffering
ie: (Gnork) "I laugh at q'ap morgil!" (Grarg) "Morgil, grarrog!"

pra - or
ie: (Karsch) "Akril pra burzmorad." Flee or die." (Unknown) "Ye're like the rest o' yer kind...ain't got grawel pra awrda!"

q'ap - you, your
ie: (Trudok) "Q'ap were speaking of the Krol you've d'braburzkt?"

rraok - grovel, beg
ie: (Gkig) "Rroak, grarrog!", (Klaagh) "Rroak, rroak at my feet grarrog

Scarbeard - A huge fierce Krolvin with characteristic looks, a pirate. Perhaps more than one (Scarbeards) Scourge of the seas.
ie: (Tempton) "What did Sankir mean that Scarbeard was fictitious?"

tezt -

tuug - good, well

tuzte -

ungbokt - fought
ie: (Khortal) "Q'ap ungbokt tuug Brimzstone" (Grarg) "Q'ap ungbokt tuug."

ungok -
ie: The skull on XXX vultite bastard sword spins in place, gnashing its teeth. It yelps, "Ungok or akril, grarrog, for ye shall burzgafk either way.
