Ahwatukee Foothills Friends and Neighbors Club

AFFAN: for the women of Arizona (not just Ahwatukee) who want to make friendships and have fun by sharing activities!

Formed originally under the auspices of Welcome Wagon in the 1980's, AFFAN attained independent status several years ago. Our current membership of over 200 includes many newcomers, but this is not a membership requirement.

Many of us have moved to Arizona from all over the world leaving family, friends and neighbors far behind. Our main objective is to provide an immediate opportunity to become acquainted with others in the community and share an atmosphere of friendliness and goodwill, and helpful information about the local community for all club members. While our primary purpose is social in nature, we also support a local charity.

AFFAN holds monthly meetings with varied programs and speakers, as well as several social functions throughout the year. There are many diverse activity groups such as:

We have impromptu breakfasts, coffees, bike rides, movie nights, plays, etc. We also welcome suggestions for other activities.

Membership
The club runs year round. Dues of $25 are renewable each year and must be paid to guarantee receipt of your monthly newsletter and to participate in ANY club activity.
