- I am searching for the parents of John MCGUIRE of Tazewell Co., Virginia b. ca 1790. Married Jane/Jensy SHRADER in Tazewell Co., VA 9/28/1831. Is he the son of William McGuire and Margaret BROWN? I did have a response that suggests John was the son of William McGuire and Mary SHIRLEY?. William was born 1767 possibly in Augusta Co., VA. Died 3/5/1837 in Tazewell Co., VA. Children were William, Mary/Polly, Hannah, Nancy, Precilla, John, Joshua, Squier, Eleanor, Rachel, and Joseph. children born 1770-17780's. I don't know positively that this fits, but seems to.

- Jesse Edward TURNER was born on Jan. 27, 1896 possibily in AL. His parents were Alex J. TURNER and Katherine MCGUIRE/MAGUIRE or MCTWINER; they were born in Ireland? This information is on Jesse's death Certificate. Jesse married my mother Grace May LAUDERDALE on Oct. 23, 1930 in Trigo, Madera Co., CA. Jesse died on Oct. 23, 1941 in King City, Monterey Co., CA. They had seven children, Alexander Jefferson TURNER, Kathryn TURNER, Jesse Patrick TURNER, John Clinton TURNER, Bertha Bernice TURNER, Jerry Lee TURNER and Barbara Jean TURNER. My uncle remembers that Jesse and Grace met in Turlock, CA. And that Jesse was in the Army and had a Mexican Pass Port and could speak Spanish fluently, he said that Jesse had several brothers. My older brother John remembers the rumors that they may have been from Texas or Louisiana, we just don't know?
