Am seeking info regarding my grandfather Peter Maguire's brother James MAGUIRE. James was born in the area of South Shields, England, poss. Westoe in 1898. His patents were James?? and Margaret DOHERTY Maguire. He had a brother also James who died young-and the name was repeated. James married Lilly SIMPSON and had 3 childres?? Lorna, Vera and John?? before 1920. My grfthr, his sister-Annie, mother Margaret imm. in 1922 to Pennsylvania, USA. my grmthr, Edith DICK, his sister Mary Ellen Maguire EGAN, her husb Hugh and their children, Margaret and Anne imm. shortly after. Another sister Charlotte Maguire LANG was already in PA. James was a policeman in Sunderland, England. When my grandparents ret to Eng in 1937 to visit (my grmthr was homesick) my grfthr went to the police station to seek his brother-he was told that he had left (after abt 17 yrs????) and no one had any other info. Sadly, my grprts ret to USA. without finding James or his family. Some said they went to London, If anyone has any info, or it Lorna or Vera are still alive (a good chance) please contact me. I am searching for any information on Winsor CRAIG. B. 1814 in either KY or TN. D. 1885 in Fredonia, KS. M. Rachel WILLIAMS b. 1816 in KY or TN d.1887 Fredonia KS. They had 10 children, the only one known to me is Alfred Marion CRAIG b1839 in Fayette, Co, Illinois d 1908 in Fredonia KS Alfred married Sarah LEE and had a total of 6 children: Flora Elizabeth Craig 1869, Hiram Madison Craig 1873, Lillie Belle Craig 1874, Nancy Jane Craig 1877, Dora Luvicy Craig 1881, and Emmett Logan Craig 1886. Flora married James Franklin TOW in 1889 and had 6 children. I have no idea of Winsor’s parents. I realize this is probably a long shot, but any information that you might have would be greatly appreciated.

I am attempting to trace my family tree and from my grandparent's marriage certificate. I have evidence that my grandfather was born in Montreal Canada. His father's name was either Henry HOLMES or James Henry HOLMES and his mother's maiden name was Mary GRENE and they had at least one child being my grandfather whose name was John Lancelot HOLMES. John Lancelot HOLMES was born 1867. I don't have a day or month . He migrated to New Zealand and married my grandmother, whose maiden name was Margaret FERGUSON. They married in Wellington, New Zealand On 15.08.1868. And Migrated To Australia sometime between 1889 and 1896. This is all the information I have on my grandfather on his life in Canada And New Zealand Regards Don Holmes
