 De-flasking plants in tubes is very easy. We recommend doing only one tube at a time, so as not to mix up different species. Remove the cap by twisting to break the seal, and then pull the top off. Fill the tube with water, and let it stand for a few minutes, up to an hour. Pour out the water, and hold the tube upside down over a plate or a colander. Shake the tube gently to break loose the agar plug, or run a soda straw or wire (like a straightened paperclip) down between the agar and the glass to break the seal.
