The best way is to take "Bonanza" bus from Farmington, CT
(I-84 Exit 37). Free parking.
The same day Return Tickets: Monday through
Thursday: $28.95 Round Trip. Friday through Sunday: $30.95 RT.
One Year Return Tickets: Monday through
Thursday: $35.30 Round Trip. Friday through Sunday: $37.80 RT.
If you take "Peter Pan" or "Greyhound" from
Hartford, CT to NYC:
The same day Return Tickets: $48. You have
to pay for parking + you can’t be in NYC early. It is good only
if you travel late because they have Express buses start
9, 10, 11 AM with a movie. Slow buses start 1:30 AM,
6:30, 8:00 AM without a movie.
Leave NYC to Hartford: 2:30, 3:30, 4:30,
5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 with a movie.

Ask for "CASINO FAIR", the bus will drop you
at a Casino not downtown
If you want the bus drop you at downtown, you can not buy
"Casino Fair". On 4/19/05 Round Trip was $42, only on Monday
through Thursday (Friday is more $). It is more on Friday
through Sunday and Weekends. (Up to 3 nights / 4 days only)
No reservation needed. Do not call Peter Pan call Grayhound. Some
people will tell you they no longer offer it, but they do.
Leave Hartford on 4/19/05: 6:30 Am, 8, 9, 10, 11,
12:01 PM. The only two buses that goes to the Hilton Hotel are
the 6:30 AM and the 8 AM. The 8 AM has 45 minutes transfer.
Leave Atlantic City to Hartford (6 Hrs) on 4/21/05:
1:30a, 2:30a, 5:50a, 5:45a, 6:30a, 7a, 8a, 9a, 10a, 12:01p,
12:30p, 2p, 2:30p, 3:30p, 5p, 6p, 7:30p, and 11:15p.
Normal fair from Hartford Round-trip $58. If you take it from
Farmington the price jumps to $112:50 Round Trip.
You can buy your tickets from Hartford, 1 Union Place
between 5:45a to 10:15P.
Atlantic City Packages are almost the same as paying
direct to the Hotel.

Our Trip to Atlantic City 4/19 - 4/21/05 (2 nights)
There are other cheap hotels
but the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort was a good stay.

We do not gamble. We had a good time, swimming and good food.

Two Round Trip Tickets from Hartford $42 x 2 people =
$84 - ($17 x 2 Bonus) $34 = $50
1) We left home 6:35 AM. Took the Z-Bus 6:41 AM. Arrived Hartford 7:15 AM.
2) In Hartford, we had coffee & breakfast at "Dunkin Donut" and
walked to the bus/train station.
3) We took the Atlantic City Express "Grey Hound" bus to NY
at 8 AM with 1 stop in New Britain. Arrived NY 10:45 AM at Gate 32.
4) We took the escalator up 1 floor, walked, took the escalator
down 1 floor to Gate 80 (Hilton).
5) We took Atlantic City "Peter Pan" bus to "The Atlantic
City Hilton Casino Hotel " at 11 AM. If we miss it we have to wait 1 hour to 12 PM.
6) We arrived Atlantic City at 1:30 PM.
7) The Atlantic City Hilton Casino Hotel gave us a choice: (We choose B)
A) To get a room on the 5th floor without water between 12:01 AM to 3 AM. OR,
B) To wait for a room on a higher floor with water all the time.
8) In Atlantic City use the speedy "Jitney Bus" for $1.50.
It is a small bus for 18 people.
9) Take "Jitney Bus" from the hotel to the "Bus Terminal". Jitney Bus
# 4 comes every 1/2 an hour. Do not wait for it. Take # 1 to "Bally's
Casino" and walk 1 small block on Ohio Ave to the Bus Terminal - Gate
# 9. The bus leaves Atlantic City to NY at 9 AM, 10, 12, 12:30, 2, ..etc.
We took 9 AM bus.
10) We arrived to NY at 11:10 AM, Gate # 33.
11) We took the escalator up 1 floor, walked, took the escalator
down 1 floor to Gate 83 (Hartford).
12) We took the Express 1 stop in New Britain "Grey Hound" bus to
"Hartford" at 11:30 AM.
13) We arrived Hartford at 2:05 PM.
14) In Hartford, we had coffee at "Dunkin Donut" and walked to the Z-Bus station.
15) We took the Z-Bus at 2:35. If we miss it we have to wait more than 1 hour for the next bus.
16) We arrived home 2:45 AM.
On Wednesday 8/15/01, we stayed at the "Atlantic City Hilton
Casino Resort", 2 nights for $293 include Tax and Tourest fees.
On the internet another web site showing the same hotel and the
same time for $322. You should search different sites for the
same date and the same hotel. On Weekends the price triple.
Check in 4 PM, but we checked in at 3 PM. Indoor Pool but has
a very nice large balckony for sun tan. The Hilton Bus Bonus
was $13. The Hilton Bufate was $16 each, large shrimp. Taxi
$6 + $1. Piking was $7 each 7 AM to 10 AM. Lagage storage
in NY Bus station $2. Phone Information 411 free.
