Guitarists Into God is a ministry which began at Saddleback Church as a fellowship group for guitar players interested in honing their skills and learning praise songs. We still have our roots in this aspect, but have since evolved into other areas of service in ministry.
Our primary goal is to train players to lead worship in small group and outreach settings. These “Giglets” have been a resource who’ve blessed (and been blessed) to lead bible study groups, praise and worship support for start up churches, missions outreaches; wherever God calls.
Creating giglets has been a great way for musicians to network and specialize in their own area of expertise. Special interest groups have evolved or been formed from these efforts. Some participants have formed or been networked into worship bands, specialty groups, (like a bluegrass Gospel group), The BG’s, (our beginner guitarists), the combinations are limitless.
A personal favorite is Songcrafters
which was formed independently from Gig, but has partnered to utilize the unique
pool of skills found within the musicians who’ve found their way to us.
Songcrafters is a major resource of material used on our album projects.
