Updates:
The Open Mic Night at Moxie Java hosted by Howard and Tom was a huge success and they were asked when the next one was. Several gigsters showed up for some great fun and fellowship. One of the greatest feelings I have are when gig members get together as friends with a common interest, we really are part of a great family. If anyone has a special story to tell, let me know….I’d love to print a testimonial of a special time with GIG you may have experienced.
I went to Mountain View Church to support Frankie and Lora Lee and Dave Ardrey as they auditioned for the worship team. They hold their services in the beautiful theatre at Tesoro High School. I must say….I was moved beyond words with the music, so beautifully played and full of the Holy Spirit, along with a brief testimony by Frankie, our product of the 60’s, a wonderful message by a young, on-fire for the Lord Pastor Todd about "How do we know if we’re Christians". They were so awesome, we are praying that they are selected as their worship team. They were asked to come back for the Palm Sunday service so we hope that is a good sign.
GIG’s:
We are going to begin working with a woman who runs "Living Made Easier" (Mobile Life Enhancing Activities for the Elderly). Terese has several small board and care homes in the local area that have been re-done to accommodate intense assisted living, similar to a nursing home but in a home environment. She is excited to have us come and share music with the residents, possibly one or two guitarists at a time during the month. I will have a schedule soon. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the Lord with our elders, they will be so happy! And believe me…you will be blessed as well….Please contact Sue Rhodes at
rhodesm@aol.com, Sue is heading up the planning and booking of musicians for this venue….
