3. Time's a-Wasting - a little story about the dangers of thinking too hard.
4. A Brief History of Unix Device Drivers - they (the ubiquitous "them") made the mistake of asking me to present some training. I put together a fancy looking power point slide show, complete with discussion script (apologies if you don't have powerpoint. Try OpenOffice!). I also created a second set of "silly" notes. Then, when the actual class came around, I asked the attendees, "do you want the serious presentation, or the silly one?" Silly won by a landslide.
5. The View from Hubbert's Peak - A Toastmaster's Humorous Speech Contest entry. Presented in Fall, 2005, not long after Hurricane Katrina drove gas to $3.00 a gallon.
