My knowledge of wines is limited, but my interest is
great. I believe that
appreciation of wine adds to an “art de vivre” that is essential to
life’s enjoyment. I drink
mostly red wine, 3 to 5 glasses per week on average.
For my philosophy of wine I’d offer these thoughts:
§
Find the grape
varieties that please you.
Explore them across terroirs.
§
Try wines from
across the world. Visit
wineries.
§
Cost should not be
the primary consideration in the wine you drink.
§
If you want to drink
red wine with seafood (or white wine with steak), that’s perfectly fine.

This was a
delicious wine! The
2003 Vintage was great.
We bought a bottle at Charles de Gaules airport and we
had it with a nice meal when we got home.
Absolutely splendid. |

Talk about wine tours, how about
a trip to: Marques de Riscal Hotel We really like this Rioja mainly crafted on Tempranillo. It was anecdotally a favorite wine of my maternal grand father. |

I was disappointed with this wine. Ravenswood is a big winery whose motto is "We don't make wimpy wines." They specialize in Zinfandel. I didn't like this Syrah. |
