| The Myriad Garden is a welcome oasis in the middle of Oklahoma City. The delightful seventeen acres are as varied as they are beautiful, with trees, graceful hills, inspired plantings, and several lily ponds complete with shimmering gold fish. It is also one of my favorite places, and I go there often with my daughter. Admission to the grounds is free, and when the weather is agreeable there is no lovelier place to be. When Oklahoma's weather doesn't cooperate, we pay to visit the "Crystal Bridge" that stretches over a spring-fed lake. Inside the gigantic conservatory is a lush forest with tropical foliage, brilliant flowers, and cascading streams. I always feel like I'm in a different world amid the palms, waterfalls, butterflies and orchids. |
