RESULTS BY TEAM:
 
 

Blake and Paige Brother/Sister	Finished in Third Place This team probably shouldn't have even made it past the second episode when they lost their wallet.  After that one big misatke, they didn't really make any huge mistakes, but consitently lost time while navigating when driving themselves.  They played to win, but did it in a fair and courteous way.		Chris and Alex Lifelong Friends	Finished in First Place Unlike the first season winners, this team narrowly avoided elimination several times.  They managed to make it to the final three, however, and once there, their athletic ability gave them the upper hand.
Cyndi and Russel Married Pastors	Eliminated in Episode 5 They had been in the back of the pack for several episodes.  The bunching on the way to Bangkok gave them an opportunity to break out, but the confusion finding the water taxi cost them.		Deidre and Hillary Mother/Daughter	Eliminated in Episode 1 Their elimination boils down to the fact that they were on the second plane.  It could have been any of those four teams, but their trouble rapelling was the final key to their elimination.
Gary and Dave Lifelong Friends	Eliminated in Episode 8b Being beaten to the Jet Systems Terminal by mere seconds put them on the last charter flight.  They were already in last place when their decision to change detour options put the nail in their coffin.		Hope and Norm Married	Eliminated in Episode 2 They were strong going into the second episode, but their taxi driver took a slow route to the bus station.  Consequently, they were on the last bus and ended up just a few minutes behind Blake and Paige.
Mary and Peach Sisters	Eliminated in Episode 7 After the bunching on the flight, they made several mistakes and their spirit disappeared.  It was smart to seek the fast forward, but ironically, it is what put the nail in their coffin.  Statistically, they were the 3rd place team when eliminated (out of 6).		Oswald and Danny Lifelong friends	Eliminated in Episode 10 The final three was within their reach, but in the end, they just were not a match for the physical ability of Chris/Alex.  This team was smarter than every other one in the race.  But this race requires not only brains, but also physical stamina.  In this case, the hare beat the tortoise.
Peggy and Claire Friends/Grandmothers	Eliminated in Episode 3 Even if they had made their connecting flight in London, they still probably would have ended up last.  Their crazy route through New York, London and Johannesburg was just a terrible flight, and it cost them.		Shola and Doyin Twin Brothers	Eliminated in Episode 4 Statistically, even after their elimination they were the 2nd strongest team, but the cominbation of missing the first flight to Namibia by minutes and getting lost on the way to the Matterhorn compounded and got them eliminated.
Tara and Wil Separated Couple	Finished in 2nd Place It is a miracle that this team did not kill each other during the race.  It is also amazing that they managed to continue in the race after losing their clue.  As they spotted the finish line, they had a lead.  But Chris/Alex were faster in the footrace.
