| I recently began refinishing an Ibanez 7 string that I bought used for $180. This is far from my first project, but I definitely spent more time on this than any other project I have undertaken, and it shows. | ||
My
goal was to remove all of the factory black paint, and
refinish the
back
and sides
with
high gloss
black
nitrocellulose
paint, and apply a bookmatched bigleaf quilted maple veneer to
the top, with natural binding.. |

| I have documented the entire process
from original nasty black carved up guitar to finished
product. Every
image on the site is a thumbnail that will link to a full resolution
photo. |
| I took photos of every step of the way, documenting the process. There are a ton of websites out there to help with this, but very few of them contain great photos. I hope to show the beginning guitar refinisher exactly what it takes to completely redo a guitar. | ||
