Entry
U.S. & Canadian citizens require proof on citizenship, valid photo ID &
return ticket. All other visitors must have a current passport, and an
onward or return airline ticket. Visitors should contact the nearest
British Consulate or High Commission Office to inquire about possible Visa
requirements.
Currency
Even though the Cayman Islands has its own currency,
there is no need for visitors to exchange their US dollars into local
currency. The US dollar is accepted throughout the islands.
Major credit cards (with the exception of the Discover Card) and travelers
checks are widely accepted.
Weather
The rainy season, is generally from mid May-Oct with May/June and Sept/Oct
being the wettest months. The dry season from
Nov-April. Temperatures in summer 80-90F, winter 70-80F.
Humidity 60-90%. Average rainfall 55". It is not unusual to have
brief afternoon showers during the summer. Hurricane season runs from
June-November but peaks in Sept and Oct.
Water
The water temperature averages 80F, rising to 82-84F July-Sept, but dropping
as low as 76F in Dec-Jan.
Language
English is spoken.
Drinking water
The water in the Cayman Islands is completely safe. The water is
pumped from the sea and then purified by reverse osmosis.

Departure Tax
There is a CI $20.00 or US$25.00 departure tax for the Cayman Islands
which is usually included in the price of your airline ticket.
