Entry
Visitors must have a current passport valid for more than six months beyond their intended stay, adequate funds to support themselves, and an onward or return airline ticket.  A Visa may be required depending on your length of stay and nationality.  Check with the nearest embassy of the country you wish to visit before traveling.

Weather
The climate of the Pacific varies from north to south and east to west. The northwest of the ocean is prone to seasonal typhoons, the southeast to hurricanes. The South Pacific can experience strong westerly winds and a sub-tropical to temperate climate. The central region of the Pacific experiences equatorial doldrums interspersed with seasonal cyclones.  The temperature in Palau is around 82F all year round.  Rainfall can occur throughout the year.  The humidity is about 82%.  Palau is outside the typhoon zone.

Water
Palau's water temperatures are in the low 80F all year round.

Currency
Major credit cards and travelers checks are widely accepted.  If you are traveling to more remote islands check your credit card and traveler checks validity with the hotel/resort you are staying at before you travel.

Language
Both English and Palauan are widely spoken and understood.  But also Sonsoralese, Angavr, Japanese, Tobi are spoken.

Health
No immunizations are required unless travelers are coming from an infected area.

Electricity
110 volt and US type outlets are used.
